I have a 2007 350Z that has an annoying squeaking going on in the rear of the inside of the car. I noticed it some years ago when it would randomly happen. Now it occurs regularly when driving over speed bumps or just on some rough road. I have taken the car to the service center multiple times and have asked for possible causes and solutions. They check my suspension and shocks and say it isn't that and they don't know what it is. I have been thinking it may have something to do with the crossbar that reaches across the back of the cab area. But, I don't know how to check that object for anything loos inside or in its placement. Has anyone else experienced this issue before? Is so, how did you fix it?

Here are a few things for both of you…
1. The rattles inside of the 350 will never end, however there is a fix for this one.
2. Some people have different issues than others.

Being a part of my350z.com I have found that most people that have this issue find that their solution is to get new rear shock mounts which you can find here... KYB Rear Upper Shock Mount Kit SM5482 Nissan 350Z 03-09 Infiniti G35 03-07 | Whitehead Performance

HOWEVER, this does not fix the issue for certain people (like me). My squeak that was in the rear of my car had nothing to do with that. As it was actually the big plastic piece on the interior of the hatch itself, it rubbed against the hatch paint and caused a terrible noise. This was my solution to it which I have included pictures… Rear Strut Bar Tower - MY350Z.COM Forums

I suggest trying my method before the rear shock mounts as it it cheaper and easier.
Hope these help

Some "squeaks" etc have to do with weather changes.Materials expand, contract.
Also,as a car gets older,some of these part's mounting points get loose.Warmer
weather can silence them. This can also happen with switches. For example, the switch that controls the angle of the back of the driver's seat in my Z stopped working.
Never had a problem before. Its been cold.I put a hairdryer on the switch for a few
minutes.Presto---began working.I'm thinking, the plastic casing that holds the contacts contracted with the severe cold weather.I also get a annoyingsqueak in the steering column area near the dash.THe car warms up,its gone.
Patience.
