I've gotten so bad that my friends point them out to me now just to see my sense of satisfaction. Even though I have one sitting behind my house, I still get jealous listening to that engine roar down the street. It just doesn't sound the same from inside the cockpit!

3. yes, and the day I find a scratch is when I lay down the whoopass

4. yep, I drive the long way home because its a much more fun drive!

5. Guilty as charged... the nicer the other car, the more I try and hang around them. They never seem to mind either, many a Porsche and BMW driver has waved to me after some spirited driving together.

6. when you have a meet so you can see the people you chat online with and their cars? Yeah thats me

But you know my wife is guilty of at least half with her new Murano, so she doesnt complain lol

Busted! As I walked away from my Z this morning, I saw something on my tire that looked out of place. So as I approached, my heart began to sink. I screamed like a school girl in a haunted house when I saw the head of a big ass screw plugged into my tire. That makes 2 now, 1 in each front tire. Sabatoge? I hope not.

I do all weekly as well...

The only thing exciting I really did last night was wash the Z, take it for a 35 minute drive through a big college town (you wouldnt believe how many fingers get pointed and necks get broken) and then go home, get online, and order some leather and suede seats from leatherseats.com

Hah...

Perfectly normal man.

I'm guilty of all of the above 2x over! I'm getting married next year & the future wife already knows how important my Z is to me. She has been spending like crazy (mostly my $$$) on wedding-related stuff. I had to sit her down last week because she was taking away from my 'mod' money. We came to an agreement that I get my 19" Axis Milanos next month or I'm calling the whole thing off!

She just rolled her eyes, picked up her Modern Bride Magazine & went in the other room. I think....I got.....my point across........... :dunno:

:rolf2: Sorry Solo, but be prepared to share that money!

Today I'm detailing the Z, then noticed that I was mesmerized by the smoooooothness of the the surface as I was stroking her with a clean MF towel... :ahhh:

see...i don't get the "share the money" business. my money is my money....coutney's money is courtney's money....and our money is our money. that's how it will always be.

and dave....you're talking about your car like it's you're wife....i think you need help. :nana:

I've always considered myself a cautious driver. But I've noticed that since I've purchased the Z, I am VERY aware of many different things that I now do that I never did or even cared about in my other cars.

My small list of altered habits:

1. I notice curbs and steer wide so I don't rash my rims!
2. I will go out of my way to stay off of roads with pot holes!
3. I park very, very carefully and do a full walk around before I
leave the spot!
4. I will go across town to the other Zaxby's to get food just to
drive my Z longer!
5. After two years I still talk to the car..."Hi Z, how are
you?" "Ready to go for a drive?" LMAO
6. Look back when I park to see how sexy my Z is!
7. TRACK MY CAR!!! Never dawned on me to do this in any other
car I owned.

Okay what are your altered habits?

6. BOUGHT A "BEATER" TO DRIVE WHEN THE WEATHER ISN'T PERFECT OR NO "SPECIAL" PLACE TO PARK!!!!

I have learned my well-driven roads very well. I now know when road irregularities are coming up and will make sure to be in the best lane or swerve out of the way of chassis-disturbing abrupt surface variations.

I also stare at other well-cared for cars to admire my Z in that car's reflection (usually freaks out the owners and spreads traffic AWAY from me - 2 birds with 1 stone benefit).

And of course most of the others things that Pam mentioned :)

I find myself driving at extremes, either really slowly on bumpy roads or on boulevards to give people enough time to stare. Or, on the other end, I travel at speeds that I would become airborne at if I were in the jet.. lol

I also bought a winter/shitty weather beater car, to accumulate the dents, dings and miles while the Z sits pretty in the garage under a cover (another first) for when its nice out and I have assured safe parking.

I also find myself debating a lot on what the next mod will be, and if I'll have the guts to auto-x the Z this year. I'm afraid of messin up the paint/kit if I drift into a set of cones! lol

:lmfao: Pam, your topic reminded of an older thread so I dug it up and merged it. Thanks! :yourock:

BTW, this is the first car I've ever owned that now has a car cover. :irock:

I drive slower now; that is so others can admire my car as well.........

:rolf2:
Before the "Z", I hauled ass everywhere cuz' I drove a beater that I really didn't want anyone to see in nor did I care!!
