Hey guys and girls,

Here's what I've done: I put roadster seats into a Touring Coupe. Now, I need help to wire up the passenger side to the plug in the base of that seat.

In a Touring, there are only 4 wires: Heat, Horizontal Movement, Reclining Movement, Ground. In a Roadster, there are about 8 wires. I am wondering if anyone has done this before or if anyone can shine some light about my next steps. Nissan wiring is a nightmare (the audio guys know what I'm talking about) so I doubt it's just a case of matching the colors together. Anyways, here are some pics:

I will have to get a better photo of both with more angles, but I did the best I could with the seat bolted in and my car parked in the garage.

The driver seat is direct plug and play no issues.

If I try to figure it out through trial-and-error (with unplugging the battery and plugging it back in), will I only risk blowing a few fuses .....or far worse?

Thanks for the help. I googled this to death, but I couldn't find anyone that did this and posted about it.

Never tried this, but here's what I know: seats from a ZR have their own computer processing unit. It directs the seat when the roof is opened or closed and needs input from different sensors. So it's far more complex that a simple wire job. Have you looked at the wiring schematics at the back of a FSM?

I was afraid of this.... Wish it was direct plug and play, but the convertible has a bunch of extra sensors. I know I can retrieve the wiring diagram for both the coupe and the convertible, but if the wires on the convertible are different colors between the male/female, it's kind of a bust. I will have to scour the interwebs...

What do you mean by FSM?

Again, I'm not a ZR owner, but Nissan went to a lot of trouble to make sure the seats worked in unison with the folding top. Both seats would move slightly forward whenever the top was being opened or closed. It's why the seats needed their own computers to activate the sequence. I'd be concerned about the amount of unintentional wear was being placed on the retracting mechanism itself if the seats no longer accommodate this movement.
