Just bought a Valentine 1 radar detector and I want to hardwire it down to the panel on the driver side on ACC or something similar. Can someone email me the 2004 Service Guide or just the wiring diagram so I can hook it up ?

I hardwired mine to the ACC wire from the ignition.
White with black stripe.
I also wired it to a remote control unit to turn it ON/OFF.

Has anyone tried tapping into the power on the smartlink rearview mirror ? This was the alternate power site I am thinking about trying for the V1.

I hardwired mine into the back of my cigarette lighter adapter.
