I know about the TSB re: window grease, but i've been hearing some problems people have been experiencing when they attempt to fix it (taking multiple trips to the dealership to get it complete, clicking windows)...mine is pretty small tho, about 2" in from the door handle and about half inch wide...any thoughts? should i live with it or is it an easy quick fix? This is on a 2005 touring.

2 months ago, my passenger side window motor burned out. I asked that the dealership order a new motor from a newly produced production lot. They did, installed it, and son-of-a-bitch: last week it started leaving the grease strip again.
I've got deep tint, so it shows up big time.
I've got another appointment Friday.
Advice: ride the dealer's ass like a hemroid.
We didn't spend $30K+ to have greasy windows

Aloha,
Check the window seal at the stain point. the fuzzy stuff will hold the grease for a long time. Just lower the window all the way, take a cloth moistened with de-greaser, slip the cloth down, on either side of the area and come up from below the spot. Might take a few wipes, just be gentle or you'll damage the seal.

Good Luck

I took my 03 in and the dealer fixed the grease. No problems afterward at all. I think they said there was a pad that was missing or needed to be replaced to fix the issue.

Take it in. It's a TSB and under warranty. I haven't heard of anyone having issue after the fix.

Jinxxy - My bad.  I listened to the dealer on that one (told me replacing the motor would kill 2 birds with one stone).  Thanks for the heads up.

LOL listened to the dealer hahahaha what do they know? LOL

Buddy: I don't know what they do to fix the grease streak, but it's probably listed on the TSB.....

I believe they replace the pad and rollers that press against the window when it moves. Something like that....at least that's what I was told when they fixed mine.
