Was just organizing my mods in the garage and didn't realize how much I've put in the Z. I thought I was around $20,000. but I'm over $26,000. (Ouchh) Post up if your batting over $20,000!

The Z is a damm nice vehicle right off the lot...and you start feeling a little foolish when you have more money in mods that you have in the purchase price.

I dont know guys, I think I would rather a 50-60k car than a modded z with 20k in mods. i guess it is just a matter of preference

so you wouldn't like to hear my VW Rabbit has about $30,000 tied up into it? and does this $20,000 have to be into a Z? cause as i exclaimed my rabbit is worked to ****... she's been showed 3 times at the U.S.'s largest VW car show and won 1st place A1 heavy modified each year it was shown... but i haven't even started on my Z yet... i was thinking about selling my bunny for a GReddy TT kit for my Z but i may like the rabbit more than i want a TT kit...

There has been no labor as we've done it all ourselves..

I'd have to run through my files to get an exact figure, but I know at this point I have more money in mods than the original sticker price on the car (I have an '03 Performance model). Fortunately for me, there's not really much more I can do!

That does not include any warranty work which, among other minor items, now includes two transmission replacements.

Think of it this way. . .

If I bought a 50-60K car I'd still want to mod it - therefore putting 20+K into a Z is SAVING me $'s. That being said - I'm pushing 15K & have yeat to play with the suspension or choose a body kit yet. Will definately be breaking the 20K mark in the future.
