AEM vs. NISMO

Which of the two would you prefer and why?

It's all really personal preference, the gains you will get from either are minimal really. Shop for your preference on looks, and budget! You won't go wrong :cheers:

AEM is probably a little less expensive. Though it will probably differ from store to store, like jinxy said its more personal preference than anything.

Get the aem it's cheaper. The nismo is the same just rebadged and almost $100 more.

When I had the NISMO with my NISMO exhaust it sounded so awsome.

The AEM does allow the color choice so IMO looks better...making the same choice right now. But it's what you prefer.

Why are you putting a intake on your car? If you are doing it for HP dont waste your money, most all of the CAIs cause the Z to loose HP. Just a thought.

Go with AEM. I had that on my old car and it was the best sounding intake I have heard.

What about the ones that put the air filter low in front of the front grill? Will those types get wet during rain and run the risk of messing up ur engine?

And since the AEM and Nismo are the same intake, go with the AEM and save some money.

Yes, the risk will be aparent. That risk may be subdued by getting a bypass valve.

Nismo over the AEM, but also consider the INJEN CAI, b/c you always have the option of shortening it to a short ram on rainny days...great HP gains BTW, IMO
