Heading to work in my 04 Base today, I experienced wheel hop when I got into her a little bit. I rarely run her, but I did today just feeling froggy, and the rear wheels were bouncing through most of first. It was a little chilly outside, around 45F. Anyone know or have this happen? Is this something I need to look into, or was it just the cold weather and the tires not heated yet?

Your tires, if they are the Potenzas, don't like cold weather and turn into 'rocks.' You have to give them time to warm up. That could take 10 minutes or more.

Plus, if you give it too much throttle in first gear, you will get wheel hop on certain surfaces.

Awesome..Thanks for the replies guys. Just wasn't sure as this was the first time I've experienced wheel hop in a RWD. Was common in my friends SRT-4, so I was praying I wasn't looking at new springs or something.

Yep. Wheel hop more likely on concrete or very rough blacktop. Stick to the SmoothZ surfaces when Frogginess comes over you. :shiftdrive:
