First off, I love my Z. But...

There are a few things I'd like to see changed:

Why is there a nifty stainless door handle on the passenger side, but not on the driver's side? I have to reach to pull the door closed.

What's up with the Wal-Mart passenger side cup holder? Cheap? Yikes.

Speaking of cup holders, who finds the center console holders convienent?

Shifting - I keep hitting my right elbow on the console when engaging 6th gear. Perhaps a taller shift lever?

The little flip open compartment on the console is for what? I can't seem to figure that one out. It's too small for my crack pipe...

Rims: check out an Altima or Maxima. Do Nissan guys think we like plastic-looking rims?

Was there no way to design the doors to prevent water and dirt from filling up the sills?

Who's used their rear wiper? I've had mine over a month and have yet to see if it even works.

Should we have to use a prop rod for our hoods with a car that costs over $30k?

Okay - I'm through. Any others? :shiftdrive:

I can only say that after you adjust the mirrors just so, there's still a blind spot on the sides that's killer. And I think the whole car could have been 300hp and the Anniv model should have 350hp.

Don't know what you're talking about.  I don't have a problem closing my door.

Yeah, it sucks but I hardly use it.

I don't use those for drinks, just storage for keys or glasses.

The car was built with me in mind, so another case closed w/o a problem.

Change and roofies...  :rolf2:

Compared to aftermarket, our rims look cheap.  But let your wife drive around the 'hood while you watch from the yard and then see what you think.

No dirt or water stays on my car long...bad dirt! :whip:

I took mine off because it made me feel off balance.

No, but there is not any good alternatives.

they should come out with a limited-edition or special-divisioned Z with insane performance lists.

Mitsu's doing it, Subie's doing it, why not Nissan?

I never even thought of it, I have no prob w/ it.  The pass side handle was ripped off by my hubby closing the door, replaced under warranty

What's up with the Wal-Mart passenger side cup holder? Cheap? Yikes.

mine works :dunno:  I use it every day, no probs w/ it in 2 years

that is where Nav goes if you got it...I put tissues and my camera in there, some ppl keep their EZ passes in there :dunno:

perfect reason to upgrade~

even in our audi w/ little rubber flaps there, we still get dirt there

Who's used their rear wiper? I've had mine over a month and have yet to see if it even works.

I use mine all the time, it bothers me that the audi doesn't have one

Aloha,
The one big thing I'd like them to change is the brake pads. I've never had a car that had so much brake dust!
Oh yeah, lower the price of their NISMO parts!

The console compartment stores the Oakleys that match my car.... and my toothpick.

The little flip open compartment holds my cell phone and keeps it there, even during "enthusiastic" driving.

Here in Louisiana it is always wet, either rain or condensation. I use my rear wipper almost every morning to clear the rear window. When it rains it is can come down hard and the wiper is useful then too.

nah, it's S-Tune. Kept me up last night til I found info.

It's nothing too special. It's the one they developed the limited body kit for.
I think it's a wee bit faster? .5 in the 400m . and about 30bhp more??

One of our aussie members has one I do believe.

I too use my rear wiper. Although not much. (as much as I use ANY rear wiper on my cars)

Had my rear wiper taken out.

The thing that bugs me the most is the design of the engine oil dipstick.

omg.. i f$cking HATE the dipstick.. What in the world is up with that??!!

^ ^ This is Tops on my list of things I don't like.

My list looks like this:

1. Oil Dip Stick
2. See above.
3. You get the picture
4. Yep, dip stick.
5. No adjustable camber/toe
6. The paint. No way i should have this many chips.

Don't get the wrong impression. I'm not bitching, I'm only trying to give Nissan USA something to think about.

If I had an Enzo, I'd have some gripes.

Apparently, the brake pads are a common issue. (gone with the Hawks).
And, the dipstick (I forgot that one!).
I'm surprised no one has commented on the cheap looking OEM rims. I haven't bought rims for a ride in 30 years. These suck. (wanna buy mine?)

Notice I haven't listed h.p. For some of us, there's never enough. That's why I didn't mention it.

One last item: why didn't they mold the splash guards into the body panels? :banghead:

Cheers,

See I don't know about this.. It's simple! I like it! :)

Is anythign like breaking off or anything?

I find all the controls well within my reach and in my opinion it fits the style of the car.

well it is simple...yeah it looks good no doubt.
but it does look cheezy. it is simple but looks cheap, not like simple and yet expensive. if you know what i mean.
the car has a simple yet awesome exterior...the interior doesnt reflect that.
