Just wondering. I am interested in the UR Flywheel and I noticed this when I was looking at it on a website. They have just the flywheel, and then they have the flywheel with this Flexplate for another $100. Do I need this?

Thanks in advance for the info.

I didn't know UR made a flexplate. But then again I haven't been shopping for one either. But I ramble...

Flexplates are used by cars with automatic transmissions. A manual has a flywheel/clutch assembly while an auto makes use of a flexplate/torque convertor combo. Basically in a car with an automatic, the torque convertor provides the mass instead of a flywheel. The flexplate's job is pretty much to provide teeth for the start motor to engage with.
