I think it is only because of my Quaife LSD, and possibly my lower plenum, but i also have Borla exhaust, High flow cats, non stock wheels and tires.

No class :lol: I do our low key auto cross which is a learning event, no classes, no pressure, just fun and driving. No points off for tagging cones, it's awesome and it's the best :shiftdrive: LOL :cheers: As they say "run what you brung"

I think that's the X class, Terri. I was reading the rules earlier today and saw that you can register under X and just go to test yourself.

I just registered for my first autox of 2009. It's only about 5 miles from me, so there's no excuse to avoid it. I was looking at the registrants for the day and my jaw dropped. Definitely going to be interesting out there.

Mike, thanks for helping me out on the classification. I figured that if I go there and they classify me some other way, then so be it.

BSP for me! That's with the sways and springs, Crawford plenum, JWT intake, Motul DOT 4 fluid, braided lines, and the awesome presence of the Touring edition. :lol:

Jorge and I autocross together at GCAC.

He was autocrossing for about two years on crappy street tires.

I sold him my extra set of SSR's, then he went to race-rubber....

And he promptly started crushing it!

Just FYI, under the 2010 SCCA SOLO rules the stock 350Z is now in the C-Stock class as is the non-NISMO 370Z. The NISMO 370Z is in B-Stock

The 350Z can still run in the B Street Prepared (BSP) class and may also be run in the Street Touring R (STR) depending on modifications.

He was running in C stock with a bone-stock Z with only wheels and race tires (no shocks, no exhaust, no FSB) until someone in his class protested his 17" wheels. (His HR Z came with 18" wheels, so the 17X8.5 and 9.5 wheels are not "legal")

And STR was a nice thought, but 3300lb cars on 255 rubber isn't a good idea when other cars in the same class are considerably lighter.

Some Z's came with wider stock tires.

I didn't know if people were aware that the 350Z had changed classes under the new rules, so I thought I'd throw that out there...

Yeah, I have to agree that the 350Z isn't going to be competitive in STR.

I'm afraid we're going to continue to be beat by the Mazda RX-8 in C-Stock, too.

In BSP, there are too many V-8 powered choices for us to do well there. The company where I work has a sports car club and there are a couple guys running older Corvettes in BSP. They're pretty darn fast. Sigh...

I guess that's why the hardcore SOLO-II guys first choose a class and then buy the car. That's still OK, though. I only autocross my Z two or three times per year just for fun.

I'd rather run the Formula Skip Barber 2000 cars on track, anyway. :biggrin:

I haven't checked the results from any recent national events, but the last time I did look at them, BSP was pretty much owned by the AWD/turbo cars.

I'd like to do some road racing too. Maybe someday. But for now the 16-20 days of autocrossing/year will have to do.

I didn't know about the new C class. I'd like to stay in BSP just because I know it and feel competitive enough with the rest of the cars.

prob. not the place to ask this,,,,, but here it goes... im planning to fit 315/35/17 hoosier A6 in all 4 corners what size of wheel spacers do i need for the front and back???
