The stock forged Rays wheels on the Track model weigh approx. 18.1 lbs. in front, and 18.6 lbs. rear.
The Nimso forged 5-spoke 18" wheels (8.5" wide in front, and 9.5" in the rear) weigh approx. 16 lbs. a piece. I don't have the exact figure, but I imagine the rear wheels must be a little heavier since they are an inch wider.
I swap out my street and track wheels/tires frequently, and you really can tell the difference. Reducing unpsrung weight is always a good thing.
By comparison, I picked up the full size spare in my '04 Audi S4, and got a hernia. That sucker must weigh 50 lbs. LOL
Very nice. That's about the same as I paid for my Nismo 5-spoke forged wheels and Kumho Ecsta MX tires. I like both the Nismos and the Volks. But I can't justify a 3rd set of wheels (I still have my stock Track model Rays forged wheels with street tires). lol
Just out of curiousity, would the 2006 Base 18's be heavier or ligher than the 2003-2005 Touring 18's? Im not talking exact numbers, just if it would be heavier or not.
Does anyone know the weight of the 2006 stock rims + tires on them??? I know the rims are around 24lbs, but does anyone know the weight WITH the tires on them? The bridgestones that come on the car.
