Want to buy 350z (SoCal area (OC))

Hey 350z owners,

Was looking to buy a 350z around the OC/ LA area. Is anybody selling theirs? Wanted to ask on this forum about any tips or things to look out for while buying a used variant of this car. Should I not buy a car past a certain amount of mileage? I'm a student so kinda looking for a reasonably priced one. Thanks in advance

Welcome- this thread was moved to the most appropriate forum. As to your question, the best advice I can provide is to save $100-200 for an independent mechanical assessment of any Z car you're seriously interested in. A well maintained 100K mile '03 Z33 may be a better buy than a trashed '08 model with less mileage. Only a hands-on assessment by a trained tech will be sufficient to give you an accurate picture of what you're buying. You should receive a written report for your fee, not just a verbal OK.
Okay great. Thanks for the advice! Had a quick question about a 2004 Base model- one listing said it has TCS and cruise control but did those models have those features?

That listing is incorrect. The '04 350Z base model had an open diff (no TCS) and zero cruise control.

My 2004 touring convertible has both TCS and cruise.

But the question in this thread was about an '04 base coupe, not a touring roadster.

You’re correct. Mine has no base model

Oh, that's a great offer, I'd rather use a nissan window sticker for that, it can be very valuable when you're trying to sell your car. This can help potential buyers determine whether the car has the characteristics that the buyer is looking for. The buyer can easily find such detailed and useful information and thus find out whether the car in question is the one he needs or not.
Hello, I believe that the seller of the car should write you the Vin number of the car. Moreover, he should write that the car's Vin number is checked and listed on Polaris VIN Lookup & Number Decoder | EpicVIN. This is not classified information.
Additionally, sharing a VIN number publicly can compromise the privacy and security of the vehicle owner. I would recommend searching for 350Z listings on online marketplaces such as Autotrader, Cars.com, or Craigslist, and contacting individual sellers directly to inquire about their vehicles and also you can go with http://www.vinnumberlookup.com/ to get vin number lookup there. You can also consider working with a reputable dealership in the OC/LA area to help you find a suitable car that meets your needs and budget. Good luck with your search!
