Can you comment on the availability of a tuner kit? I dont need/want the reflash, and would like larger injectors anyways.

I understand they are working on a Fuel upgrade kit but not sure about availability, the extent of a tuner kit from what I have heard is that they will not charge you for the reflash, so you would still have to replace the injectors.

Best bet would be to go for 550 injectors, skip the 440 so you are ahead of the game if you go further and a fuel return system like CJ Motorsports, I just got some for some customers and myself and was very impressed by the quality, the system 2 replaces everything from fuel pump fitting to return line.

And the last piece of the puzzle would be the piggyback.

Looking at the wiki, I see that there is no difference between the Stage 1 and tuner kit. Am I missing something?

also, it's Spearco, not Searco

Yes, you are missing something.

Tuner kit does not come with injectors, ECU Flash, or fuel pump.

:lmfao: I am not a morning person.

I thought I read into wrong but wanted to make sure. You're leaning towards the tuner kit, right?

I think I'm more inclined to the Stage 1 complete kit. The UTEC sounds like a good addition to that.

Yes, I have the UTEC on the way so I dont need a reflash. I want bigger injectors than come with the kit anyways so the only thing i will need from the complete kit is the fuel pump.

What is the difference in price between the Stage 1 and the Tuner kit?
I am looking into this. Right now i have a hot deal on the complete kit. But waiting if i can get a better deal on the tuner version. I would think around 300$ price differnce

I'm really looking into this setup. I would prefer to safely run 360-400whp. Not interested in 450whp+.

I found the tuner kit for $4,045.

updates on the new Stage 1.5 and Stage 2

So I was up at Turbonetics this last Friday discussing some things regarding the kit and discussing Stage 1.5. The skinny on stage 1.5 is there will be two ways to get it. First is if you have Stage 1 they will send you the upgraded parts. Second is to order it as a complete kit. If you have stage 1 already heres what you get:

550 cc injectors
User tuneable EMS system with the following features:
-user tuneable maps
-Multimap functionality (2 maps)
-A map selection switch to change between the two maps
-Closed loop boost control that can have to boost curves assigned to each tuning map to give you a high boost map and tune or low boost map and tune
-Bluetooth access to the EMS to apply real time correction changes are to monitor real time correction data
-Complete plug and play. No cutting, splicing, replacing of wiring. Complete plug and play harness to install
-High quality boost control solenoid
A fuel return setup including an external fuel pressure regulator and required hardware. The fuel return system is still in R&D so details are not complete for me to post but I will when it is

Now if you have Stage 1 you will get all of the above parts. However you could also order this as a complete kit. The complete kit would be:
Stage 1.5:
Turbonetics 60-1 Stage V ceramic ball bearing turbo
Turbonetics Evolution wastegate
Turbonetics Raptor BOV
Spearco front mount intercooler
550cc injectors
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
Tuneable EMS
Fuel return system
All SS304 mandrel bent polished steel exhaust piping
All mandrel bent aluminum powder coated black chrome intake piping
All t-bolts on intake side
All V bands on exhaust side
All required hardware
Case of Turbonetics TS-1 oil
12,000 mile / 12 month warranty on the entire kit..

Power goals 400-450 RWHP but completely up to tuner and owner

For Stage II: Built motor required

T66 turbo
Newgen wastegate (tenative)
Turbonetics Raptor BOV
Spearco front mount intercooler
650 or 750cc injectors (tenative)
fuel return system
tuenable EMS
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
All SS304 mandrel bent polished steel exhaust piping
All mandrel bent aluminum powder coated black chrome intake piping
All t-bolts on intake side
All V bands on exhaust side
All required hardware
Case of Turbonetics TS-1 oil
12,000 mile / 12 month warranty on the entire kit..

Power output: 550 RWHP but completely user tuneable

There is still the Stage 1 kit you can get which is the current kit as is...I don't have pricing on the Stage 1.5 upgrade or complete kit yet. I can tell you for the upgrade it will be comparible to what it would cost to purchase those items from the current market but of course a bit cheaper The complete Stage 1.5 kit I have no idea what pricing will be since they have not yet determined what its going to cost for the return setup... Stage II will be a bit more then Stage 1.5 due to the bigger injectors and completely custom compressor and housing for it. But anyways thats the scoop for now. Road and full dyno testing for Stage 1.5 should be starting in the next couple weeks. Turbonetics has someone working on this kit pretty steady as well as others working on other things so hopefully news will come soon...

What can can be expected of a Stage II single turbo set-up? What all would i need to build up the engine to handle this? Would it be comparable to a stock engine with twin turbo? I really would like to get the most out of a single turbo setup.

roughly how much will a built motor cost? I read the DOING A TWIN TURBO RIGHT thread (good info), does it change any for a singe set-up? I can get about 3K to 5K out to do a set-up. *Trying to stay low on cost cause of the extra 5K plus for the kit* I have time for the setup, so im not rushing it at all. (Mistake i made with my previous Z). Right now im in the planning stage, then next i will start buying what i need.

A block is a block is a block, it doesn't matter if using for a Single T or TT, the level of the block build depends on your power goals, with a Single T those will be lower than with a TT even with the Stage 2 TN kit you will still not be able to get probably past 550 so a lower level block will suffice, with a TT then your imagination is the limit :) or maybe wallet.
