Anyone know a good tuner shop near Milwaukee or Chicago that I can go to for an engine tune? There are no good tuner shops left near Milwaukee Now! :banghead:

Well Im looking for one near Chitown also and the only shop that i have gone to for my headers is Ulitimate Z. They are near the Woodfield mall in StreamWood Il right off of I-294. The bad thing is.. is that they only do the Technos ECU and you have to send in your stock ecu to be tuned.

Wait, you’re saying all they do is send your stock ECU into technospuare for a reflash? You can do that yourself for 550. I always had a problem with stand alone ECU reflashes because every single car will respond differently to a reflash, but if you have a tune, that tune is specifically tailored to you vehicle for optimal performance . I feel your pain though, I bought a 2007 enthusiast and really nothing is available for it. If I want a custom tune I’ll have to drive it to technosquare which is in California but I’m almost thinking it is worth it.

I had them install my built motor, twin turbo kit, clutch, coilovers, exhaust, rebuild my transmission and tune it. I'm very happy with their work. They're a good shop. :)

they didnt provide any tuning software?? you had to buy your own?????
I thought they might just use a universal tuner at the shop..

DAN
No, I didn't buy any software. I don't know what software the HKS FCON requires or comes with but GRD provides everything and tunes the Unichip, UTECH, HKS FCON V-PRO and many others. Tuan does all their tuning.

Ohh im sorry i ment they didnt provide a utec or an fcon that they use as a univeral.

DAN
Huhhh? I'm sorry man, but I guess I'm a little slow, I don't understand the question. The HKS FCON V-Pro is my engine management system. GRD is a certified Pro dealer/tuner of this brand of ems.
