Well I have gotten to the point where I keep on wanting more and more on Mods. LOL I already have a Nitrous Kit and I like it. But I dont want to abuse the NX since I want to be conservative and take care of the engine. NX is great in the track or drag racing but I want a constant boost to use even in the streets when driving around. I have been loking for months at TT and SC kits but Im still undecided and confused about which one is better. I have also gotten scared over the fact that I hear so many engine's getting blown up. To be honest I do like that I havent heard Stillen's blowing any engines though. But that SC is around $5k but after adding and painting a new hood I would spent like $8k. Thats not so friendly. I was leaning towatrds the Greddy TT until I heard someone blew their engine on that one as well. Man, man man.........I'm so puzzled. I do like the way the TT sounds when shifting though. Which one is safer? Which one will give me more performance? Or should I just forget about FI and just add headers and cams? Your opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated. :irock:

well IMO its really gonna come down to what kind if power you are looking for. SC have a linear power band where as the TT kits are basically exponential power ( faster you go the more power will be produced). the vortech has a BOV and sounds like turbo setup!! I love the TT setups but will cost a lot more, and will produce a **** of alot more power with the engine properly built and tuned. The TT kit allows you to increase your power to your desired level, that is if the engine can handle it. Well you could always go the SC route and then if you are not satisfied, sell it!! i was talking to toykilla about this and this might be an option for him right now. i say go for the SC and its very possible to produce 400whp. i think that would be a great daily driver with some serious kick ass power!! this is just my opinion as others will probably say go TT.

anybody jump in and correct me if i'm wrong on anything

i wouldnt do all engine with this car... you will spend about the same for a TT but get MAYBE an extra 50whp.. bolt on a tt kit and you have instant 400rwhp (after tuning).. superchargers will get a little less, but are cheaper and easier to install

The engine blowing is 99% certain to be tuning. When these engines get forced induction, they get cranky if you dont get the tuning right. Find a good tuner and go a little conservative and you should have no problems.

I have the following mods:

JWT Pop Charger
UR Crank Pulley Set
NISMO Exhaust
Crawford High Flow Cats
Stoptech Big Brake Kit 14.1 (Front)
TEIN S-tech Springs
NISMO Body Kit
JWT Flywheel
JWT Clutch
NX Nitrous Oxide Wet System (Wide Open Throttle 30-50-75)
Belltronics Radar
Limo Tint (All around except front windshield)
Nissan Z Emblem License Plate Frame

If to this I add a S/C would I be getting to near TT power? Any ideas on how the Stillen or Vortech is doing? Where in Socal can I get a good tunning shop? Can I use NX while using SC or would thta be too much?.........OH what a dilemna?

Not likely.TT kits produce max power and spool up way befor eANY SC would. This allows you to tune your car to your preference. TT cars produce more power all throughout the power band. Where SC cars peak at redline, and although the actual PEAK hp numbers may be the same, the way the car drives is COMPLETELY different..TT way to go if $$$$ is not an option.Another thing I didnt like about the SC was how LOUD it was,it always sounded like something was wrong with your car!!lol

Well said and after you've experienced turbo power it's difficult to settle for anything less. :shiftdrive:

I agree 100%. Spend the time and tune the Turbo engine thoroughly for the fuel octane you run and the engine will be very reliable, if the FI system is well enginered then the engine reliability is all in the tuning.

Yeah that is the thing..........I dont want to be worried all the time. I just got my Nitrous Kit installed and Im just worried every time. I honestly have used ONE single shot since it was installed 2 weeks ago. I have been given a lot of pointers about it and behind my head I feel that if the NX is used properly it shouldnt heard the engine. But I always have that fear. What do you think is more of a risk my NX or TT and SC? I got the NX because I figured..........the NX is only used 1-3 times a month compared to the others where is somehting constant. I still feel worried about the NX? By the way if the worst happens? WHat is it that NX can blow the engine or just break other parts? Thanks for your opinions and helping me in my search to stay safe.

Sounds like you are in a quandry! Why don't you enjoy the car like it is & decide later on down the track!

Have you seriously driven the zed on a well surfaced winding road?
I mean pushing it to the limits for 30 or 40 km's on a 'driver's road'?

If you have & need more power then go risk a TT or SC. If not, then try it & see where the zed really shines. You might see that it has ample power & will probably want to spend ur money on some suspension fine tuning!

The thrill of traffic light racing wears off after a while, but real driving on a twisting section of highway is where you can become a driver!

PS: Really only used your NOS once???
