I took the blue beazt up to 126MPH last night on President George Bush Turnpike and it was smooth as a babies butt. I was trying to get up to the 6th gear rev limit of a purported 159MPH but I spotted traffic ahead and their was no need to put anyone else's life in danger other than my own. Can't wait to have that ever-elusive deserted stretch of road in front of me again to really flog my Z! **** I love this car!!

I was on the way home on an open stretch and got to 150mph. I think getting to the limited speed of 159 is much more difficult than people want to know. When I was about 145mph it took forever to go faster. Aerodynamics plays a huge part of topspeed.
136 came pretty quick. (ran out of open road) :shiftdrive:

I got her up to 134 on Tollway before I had to shut down due to traffic ahead of me. My friend and I went out during Christmas eve last year late at night, as there were barely any cars on the road, and then floored it starting at the Plano pkwy. entrance ( I love flooring it on that entrance ramp :D).
it's nice to know that I'm not the only one tearing up the Dallas area streets duckin'-and-dodgin' the PD.
Starts to feel jsut a little light at 140+... gotten her up to somewhere in the mid 150s indicated...
Did 140 tonight on the way home form the g/f's. Hadnt opened her up like that in a while.
Just check out my avatar and signature (156...personal best)....Those pics were taken by a friend of mine sitting at the passenger seat. I was driving at a stretch in the dessert near Vegas. Excellent roads over there to max it out without cop problems. Let me know if you try them.

Got mine up to about 125 the other day. More fun than that was me and my girl laughing at the guy and his girl in the Rustang GT that was taunting us.
I got to 127 the other day, lol, got scared and let go of gas pedal
I've never taken her on a good stretch of road that let me get above 110 :headshake:

you have no idea :headshake:

from experience, that stretch from 145-160 takes a LLLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGG time. The car really doesnt want to do more than 150, but it will if you hold the pedal down long enough.

I wasnt about to test the agility of the z at those speeds and made sure i was firmly planted with a straight shot. Goin down a hill gave a quite interesting feel in the stomach and i almost tasted what i ate that day.

FYI my digi tach read 160, although there is always the debate on how accurate readings are and where/how the speed limit is capped.
and I have always wondered on the diffc on the digi tach w/ non-stock rims on, esp the 19's and 20's....I would think this would change the exactness of the speedo? NO?

LOL @ Josh tasting lunch.....man I had one of those close calls but it was on a 40mph road thru TIGHT twisties going up and down, came round a curve and it went downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnhill quickly, scared the pee out of me and felt like a rollercoaster........now that I am used to that curve it's all good tho..........

Toyo,

I think people that think the car pulls hard at those speeds are making things up. Like you and I said it starts to feel like watching a clock when you're up at those speeds. I would have kept going (It didn't feel light to me) but it was taking too long......145...........146.............147.

But it was fun. I wouldn't recommend trying to turn at those speeds unless you are on a banked oval :)
i had mine up to 140 last week on my way to my g/f house....would have kept going but got a little nervous because of a bridge coming up and it was low 40's so i was scared of possible ice....had to shut her down.....
Hit 149 on the Sam Houston Tollway before I ran out of room. I was going for the speed limiter but I ran out of road before I got to the next toll booth.
all of you just need to go out at like 3am and push on the highway. i have hit 159 multiple times.
150 mph on Hiway 14 on the way to Willow Springs International Raceway.
139mph on I-17 Northbound in Phoenix, AZ at 2:00AM....an Infiniti Q45 wanted to race..... :headshake: needless to say..............he lost!!
