Went down to Englishtown last night. Didn't expect too much since this is my first time with the Z there. I also had about 3/4 tank of gas and no weight reduction (weighed in at about 3450 w/me in it).

1st run - I totally left the traction control on (wasn't thinking obviously) - ran a 14. 9

2nd run - Smart enough to turn traction control off - ran a 14.4

3rd run - pretty happy - 14.1

I had a 4th run - but something is wrong/or going wrong w/my clutch and when I shifted to 2nd the clutch pedal stayed on the floor. Going to have it checked out before I go back again.

Saw the MRC twin-turbo car there - have to say it's awesome!! Can't wait until I'm ready for a turbo.

Those are great times for your first - virgin, no more (at least in the Z). I see your Teg did well based on your sig.

I need more practice if I'm going to get low 14's or high 13's. Next year...sigh.

The car is completely stock w/no weight reduction.
My 60' on the 3rd run was 2.1
The first run it was 2.4 (traction control on)
and on the 2nd it was 2.2

Do alot of you guys go to englishtown on a regular basis, I am in south Jersey about 15 minutes from ATCO and not many Z's there.

Nice times - seen a few stock run at ATCO but they blew it going to 2nd and times were in the mid-high 14's

I've never been to Atco - but from what I've heard Englishtown is a lot nicer.

I've heard that you can run better times at Atco because it's closer to sea level - don't know if any of you have experienced that.

Hey Cathy,

It was nice meeting you down there. Glad to see that you made some nice times despite the clutch problem at the end. I am sure that the boys at MRC and maybe even myself, if I am down there at the right time, can help you out if you stop by.

Actually, to follow up on this thread, it was my first time out at the track believe it or not, this time I was doing the 1/4 mile. Other times I am usually autocross racing or drifting. But I have to say that I had a lot of fun. My times were as follows:

15.9 - forgot to go around the water trap and then to shift into second. newbie.
14.1 - this time I remembered how to shift and went around the water.
14.0 - 2.2 60 ft. and 99.7 mph, my best run.

I have to say that I had a blast and I will look forward to doing it again next year, especially when I will have an incredibly more powerful engine.

I have never run at ATCO or anywhere, don't trust myself not to push the Z to its limit!

I too am in Burlington County and getting a meet going somewhere in NJ would be a great idea. last year in April there was a Z/G meet in ATCO that was fun.
