I'm thinking of buying an '04 350Z, how can I tell where it was built (Oppama vs. Tochigi). Is there a sticker on the car someplace, or can I check by build date/month?

Does anyone know if the cars were produced concurrently at the two plants, or was there a month where it switched over?

Thanks ... I've found some 04s and all 05 (and presumably 06s) that are built in Tochigi

Did I miss something....Why does this matter?

^^ Tochigi is the plant where they build all of the luxury models..and the place where they really look into quality issues...its been mentioned that the Z's are better build quality if they came from Tochigi..(only from what i've heard)

Not sure if there is any difference, but Tochigi is where the M35/45, G35 and maybe others are built. Not sure what else Nissan builds in Oppama
