How can you have temps in the mid 70's while I'm only 5 hours away and getting 30's?

Most NA AT's are running about the same times you are. I only know of one TT AT that runs very quickly.

this was two months ago sorry ha forgot to mention that..... so what you are saying is that with a auto 14.0 1/4 mile time is average?

Yes, that's about right for the AT Z's.

MT's are just a little faster depending on the driver. I think the more people practice with the MT, the better times they get.

Of course, your times could improve if you gave the Z a diet and got better tires to run at the dragway.

This is true which is why i am going to do wheels and tires in the spring... due to needing new tires anyway. Also some boltons and 75 shot to top it off. Im thinking i may get very low 13 or even high 12 with that. We shall see ha!

I got 14.2 @ 98 mph in my '06 touring 5AT. That was with a crappy launch with way too much wheel spin. My 60 foot was snail slow at a 2.2sec

I was totally stock except for a 5/16 spacer and a K&N drop in then. Now I have the UpRev Osirus tune so it should be a bit quicker. My nismo exhaust and test pipes go on as soon as I get time to do it. I'll post some updated times when the pipes are on.

Nice. I ran a 14.3, 14.2, then a 14.09. So i am very happy with the results seeing how its an auto. I am wanting to improve on my times next spring. I plan on adding Borla headers and Borla TD Exhaust, also plenum spacer by PURE and then a NX 75 shot so i am thinking i will be in the 12.9-13.3 range

Yep, with all that stuff and the squeeze on it, you should easily get low to mid 13's. The headers and exhaust should get you 13.7's or 8's. The 75 shot is probably good for about half a second.

You may want to consider the UpRev tune after you get the exhaust done.

Wow that looks like it has some fairly good gains after a few mild boltons. That might be the iceing on the cake when all said and done ha. How was it loading it up yourself?? Did you run into any problems? Also i wonder if it would work with a 75 shot hmmmm.

the upload was a breeze. they will supply you with a cable that connects your lapto to the car. it's easy to do. takes about three minutes.

when you order it, you will fill out a form telling them what mods you have, and they will send the apropriate tune. the best part is, when you do more mods inthe future, they update your tune for free!

Yeah i ran last weekend. My first time on the track. I have short ram intake. short tube headers. and a 3inch catback with 4inch tips. I ran a 14.44 at 97mph. i had tha worst launch ever because i didnt burn out and my tires were still wet. but i made up in the top end. i think with a good lauch i can get a 13.9. i've beat 14.0 cars by many cars on athe street. and i know the track is different. so i cant want to do it again. any tips or mods i should do. its a 03 touring 5AT. post back or pm me.

Well the list on my sig. would be a start intake, plenum spacer, headers, test pipes, and exhaust then get a tune and you will see a gain over your base hp by about 20whp. The Z doesnt take well to bolt ons but its a start if thats what you are looking for. Then I would looking into either wheels and tires or suspension, Also some 3.5 gears would help if you are wanting quick 1/4 mile times.

Yes the burnout does make a differance, If your tires are heated up they will grip better, which will give you a better launch. As far as the Kinetix Plenum dont buy it, due to the fact that it is made from plastic it has a tendancy to warp and break under heat and pressure. Just go with a Plenum Spacer or a aluminum upper plenum like APS or Cosworth
