The new software in the 5A is interesting as the "shift matching" does a pretty good job on the downshift. About 75% of the time it matches well, the rest is a bit less smooth. Perhaps as the car breaks in and the ECU learns the way I drive it will get even better. Is it an improvement? Yes IMO, but not perfect yet.
The added seat height adjustment is a big improvement IMO, it makes it easier for me to get the seat in the right position. I usually drive with the seat bottom tilted up considerably in front and the seat back is laid down quite a bit. This is easier to do in the '05. Some drivers will never even notice, but it's a big plus for me.
Most other changes are for the 6M cars, like a lower pedal effort on the clutch. But I'm really happy right now, can't wait for 1200 miles to show up on the clock!
