Got the Z back from the panel beaters - 3 weeks to fix. It was worth the wait. They ended up painting the whole side. The only thing is the new paint is so obviously better than the factory I'm going to have to paint the bonnet and drivers side - the factory paint just looks pathetic next to the repainted side - which is just stunning. The shine is so good. When I look at the tailgate next to the peel is really obvious!! also the front bumper does not chip with the new paint so I can only conclude that NISSAN'S PAINT SUCKS!!!!!!!!

Agreed that the factory paint sux! man that stinks that the other side looks like crap compared to the new side, for the simple fact that you have to re-paint it

I should say they put 2 extra coats of clear - they tell me it is no trouble really to do this. Then it is cut back and polished - stand back put on your darkest sunnies and WOW! Just can't compare with factory.

I think you notice this more because your car is blue. If it were silver it may be harder to pick up on.
