Changing them to test pipes will most likely turn on the CEL. There's a resonator by the rear tire, between the muffler and the one-sided part of the y-pipe. You can't miss it, the part is made by Calsonic Take it out and weld a regular round pipe back on. It sounds really nice and only $40. Check the video out.

Don't replace the HR manifolds. The OEM pieces are as good as you're gonna get.

Gentlemen - I'll get pictures here shortly - they are in a garage about 30miles east of me. I have to run out there anyways.

The headers are new and the test pipes are used and show some discoloration ...

 

test pipes will be noticeable, because of the smell. it shouldn't be to much louder though, because you still have stock exhaust.

I didn't know they gave tickets in WI for exhaust mods.

 

I don't want to spend that much and I don't need anymore exhaust tickets.

 

You're out of options mang. Test pipes, high flow cats, or cut out the resonator in the mid pipe. Those are the only three ways that I know of to "enhance" the stock exhaust sound. All three are likely illegal (two are for sure) so you're gonna have to take a chance to get this done IMO.

 

$150 is a great price.
