I not sure if these will turn on the CEL but I can guarantee they will be plenty raspy regardless what they say. I have yet to hear anyone with test pipes say they are non raspy. If he wants to spend the extra money I would highly suggest the kinetix resonated test pipes.

Actually my R/T's do it a little bit too Al. When its at WOT at around 3500-5000 rpms its a very tinny vibrating noise coming from the cats. They say its just from all that air now flowing through it. I do believe that the open exhaust V8's do it too. Im am about to sell my R/T's and go with the kinetix resonated pipes.
