Today i had the Tein H-Tech springs installed at Performance Nissan and I wanted to pass along my first impression. I started by wanting to get rid of the harshness in the 2003 suspension and make my coupe ride more like my roadster. My first thought was Koni's and I will very likely still add them at a later date. Bonus time maybe. Just as I was about to do the Koni's a 2005 suspension became availible so I decided to go that route instead. Asking some questions of Jason at Performance I learned there is a differance in the 2005 suspension that he has yet to figure out. However, during that discussion with Jason he recommended the Tein H-Tech springs to give me the ride I was looking for. I admit, I was a little nervous, I wanted a nice firm ride, but not that teeth jarring harshness the 2003 suspension had, and I didn't want additional body lean.
Well the ride home proved Jason correct. No longer was even crossing the lane change bumps a harsh event, it is not cushy by any means, the ride is nice and firm, but not as harsh, the slight drop is also very nice. It is not quite like the roadster since it is 200lbs lighter, and my roadster has bigger and differant tires, however it is a nice improvement over the stock 2003 suspension. Hopefully I will be just as pleased as time goes on.
Many thanks to Jason, and the folks at Performance Nissan. They did great work, were super nice while I waited, even had a very pretty salesperson bring me coffee and chat with me a bit when she wasn't busy since she knew I was waiting for my car. I know I'll be spending more money there!
I'd also like to thank Jim at Street Image for answering my countless questions regarding the Koni's. Jim, I think those will be my next suspension mod still.

the H-Tech lower the car .3" front and .2" rear. we sell these (as opposed to the s-tech) to customers who want to lower the stance of the car, without compromising the ride quality. glad to hear that you're happy with the overall quality of the ride now.
