Hey everyone. Got my first dyno done this past week at Ocean City. 235.8 hp and 227 tq on the first run, 237 hp and 230 tq on the second.

The Air/Fuel curve looks kinda odd to me. Is this consistent with most stock 350's? Is an 18% drivetrain loss in hp average?

Thanks for any input!

Bare with the photos. No scanner.

Yes, 18 to 20% 'loss' in HP from crank to rear wheels is normal. You figure that 80% is what the HP rating at the wheels is compared to the crank (industry standard for rear wheel drive cars, I believe).

So....not bad #'s for stock! Thanks for the post. That makes me know what I'm working with now that I'm spending all day today (Sunday) installing a few mods!

That's good to hear! Thanks for the input!

Just trying to get a base number so I'll know what the gains are when I start to add mods in the fall/winter.

SmoothZ - what are you putting in today?

Okay, I'm done! ****, I'm tired. Basically, I spent all day on the Z installing the Helix test pipes, the JWT pop charger, 5-wire blue grounding kit, and the aluminum airguide.

I took the cats off including the brace that holds them together. My guess is that the whole thing weighs at least 50 lbs. With that and the stock airbox out, I figure the Z now weighs around 3200 lbs. I suppose I could provide photos...

Let me work on that... I took it for a test drive with the butt dyno. It sounds awesome with the open intake and pipes!
It also felt different, as in a little peppier. Maybe my HP rating is now close to 250whp (based on your stock #'s)? Of course, that could be wishful thinking, but the true test would be on the freeway or 1/4 track. I think Y-pipes are in order next. That or a better plenum. Woohoo!
