So I took my gauge cluster off the other day and opened it up to put black electrical tape on the back side of the check engine light but when I reassembled it the speedometer needle wasn't working so what I did was I went driving and I put the cruise control on 30 mph and put the needle on at the 30 mph position. after doing that is seemed as though it was working just fine. It would rise when I got on the gas and drop when I got on the break. So I drove home and put my cluster back together but when I started the car the speedometer needle was stuck on 0 again? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated
