OK, so there are things about my Z that I love (too many to list, too many too obvious). There are, however, things I hate....let's see if anyone has any ideas on how to go about fixing them....I'll post pics with what is wrong:

http://img11.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=lo...6_backpaint.JPG

This is my back bumper. It's got paint chips all over (prolly from being towed at some point or something). I was thinking new bumper, unless this can be easily fixed?

This is my middle console. If you can't see it in the pic, there are light scratches. How would I repair/replace that?

This is my front bumper. It is riddled with paint chips. There is an (unpictured) crack right in the middle of it prolly about an inch long. What do you think?

Lastly, this is my bar in the trunk (where the Z logo is). It has a couple of these small dings. How would I repair that?

Any suggestions you guys have would be appreciated!!!

Thanks
Sean

I have the scratches (a couple) in the center console beneath the ebrake...have no clue as to how to fix that....my front bumper looks JUST like that......like I drove it thru a picket fence....have no clue as how to have that fixed other than repaint and clearbra, which may happen....:dunno: Sorry but I would be just as curious as to how to fix that stuff other than replacing it.....

Obviously, you can have the exterior and for that matter the interior pieces repainted. Aside from that you can at your own peril get a touch-up kit and do it yourself to save the cheese. Otherwise all the buffing, polishing and snake oil in the world will just make it look shinier not necessarily better.

Yeah, repainting is costly, cuz dont they have to sand it down, and redo everything from the clearcoat and all of that?

the only thing to do with the paint chips is repaint..

to fix **minor** interior scratches and abrasions you can use a lighter.. i prefer using the torch kind..

I have kind of the same stuff going on with my paint - a couple of trips to fort worth to see toykilla and my front bumper and hood look like I got hit with a rock salt gun.

A lot of care and some time with touch up pen has fixed most of them.

The strut bar cover sells for $78.00 not bad when it comes to car parts.

the center console if my memory serves me correct is not much more than that to replace - or have it painted to match your car.

Hey Zparts.....any idea where one could order a new center console part? Or the strut bar cover? Those are the first things I will prolly fix....considering the paint is all chipped and costs way more to fix.

close - I am still working on some from my adventure to the race track last weekend. **** Texas highways! To many freakin rocks!

PS - I have a lot of free time. I think that I am going to try my airbrush out and see what mess I can make this weekend!
