I wonder how much an SR20 swap would cost on a Z. You could push a ton of power and a lot of torque, and you'd lose a ton of weight on the swap too!

You may not save that much weight. SR is an iron block.

Actually all it takes is a properly sized turbo.

its a disgrace to see an sr20det in a Z, unless it where the VK it would be ok, the Z has had 6 cylinder engines for a long time, now a 205-250 hp engine has to push over 3200 lbs while the vq makes 280 NA

Sr20 is not iron... im currently doing the swap myself.. it is dirt cheap.
the VK looked like a great swap along with an LS1 but its a money pit being id need a dry sump for both engines and the VK runs bearing with high revving. i know this post is WAY old..
