You will have to be brave enough to drill holes on your hatch unless you want to run the risk and just use double sided tape.

I installed mine, drilled the holes and applied clear sealant around the edge to prevent water from getting under the spoiler and in the hatch.
I agree with westpak however if you want the wing installed by the pros...make sure you give them the exact placement location & have it in writing so there is no room for errors.
Here is the right location...

WRONG....

I also installed my V1 myself. Took note of what westpack said .. hmm .. clear sealer .. think I will do that myself. The biggest problem (other then drilling the holes ... that was freaky) was attaching the dang nuts. You have to reach up into some factory access holes in the trunk lid and you have to be really careful not to drop the nut during the process as there isn't any room for error. Drop the nut .. it will go *somewhere* .. (take my word) and you will have to get another!

well let see what happends next.. thanks for the replay guys... my opinion towards the dealer is that they don't have that much nismo spoiler installed, therefore i feel scare to give them the painted spoiler....ohhhhhhhhhhhh one more question? does the spoiler have to be put together ..i mean the 2 pieces and then painted ? or paint it separately (2 pieces ) and then install it?

i go for paint it separately?

:helpsmilie: please guys need pictures of installation... :xZ!o: tyytyty

If you look at this picture, you can see that (IMO) the spoiler proper and the base need to be painted separately and then assembled after dry. It would be really hard to get a good paint on the underside of the spoiler with it attached to the base.

P.S. I painted the thing with spray cans ... didn't come out too bad! :)

one question ? how many layers on paint does the spolier need? the bodyshop im taking it.. its a friend of mine and well i would say 2 or 3?
here is my baby so u get to know her
I used three coats but, again, used spray cans and that goes on a lot thinner then what you get with a professional paint job. I would think the bodyshop guy should know what it takes for him to do a good job.

I installed mine on my own.. it wasn't too hard, just common sense.. the toughest part is getting up the guts to drill the holes .. have a buddy do it with you to egg you on and help you align things..

Other than a drill and a socket set, you'll need some type of hole saw too.. to remove some of the skeleton on your hatch (you can't reach some of the holes unless you do this)

K, not to be rude...but is that pink nail polish or are you pressing too hard on the tips? It's gotta be the photo.
