Hey guys I'm new to the forum. Is it just my car or any of you have your shifter shakey when its on idle. I used to own another manual and its never done that.

Yup, normal. The Z doesnt use any bushings - the shifter is directly connected to the tranny. Thats as real as it gets

Mine does that too, I just assumed it was normal. My previous 5 speed also didn't do it. I can also feel it moving a bit if I have my hand near it when I accel/decel.

edit: BTW, welcome!

The transmission mount is what gives you the move on accel and de-accel, it is designed to give play in temperature variations and absorption in vibration. You could opt for a stiffer transmission mount but the car would vibrate something harsh, though you would have quicker acceleration, due to less momentum loss.
