I was wondering if the SES light pulls timing when it is on. Most cars seem to put the car in safe mode once the light comes on?

Has anyone read about this.

Thanks

i haven't heard of the Z going into safe mode (or limp home mode) just because the SES light came on.

+1...my car threw a SES when the lower compression pistons were installed....never went into limp mode and cleared itself after a few 100 miles.

I'd just do an ecu reset and see if that clears it up. My SES light has never came on, so I can't tell you what else the car does at that point.

It can, depends on what code is thrown. Some codes the SES light comes on without any other change. Other codes can come on and you will be in limp mode.
