How much painted?

Hello... our body shop charges $200.00 to paint hoods. Give me a few here and i'll show you some pics of mine. i have the TS style hood, but we had our bodyshop outline the vents and mask them off. so, in effect, the whole hood is painted except for the vents. he also made the paint fade into the top of the vents so it wasn't blocked off. then he shot clear over the hood so that there is no texture difference. it will make sense when i post the pics. but it came out sooooo clean. if you want the hood painted like mine, with the carbon fiber vents showing, the cost is $250.00. all paint is done using the paint codes from Nissan. hope this helps.

no problem. the first batch of VT style hoods had issues with the latch, and they touched the valve cover. seibon container just arrived in port yesterday, and we told them to test fit before we purchased anymore. i will keep you all posted. also, this style is based off of the veilside version 3 hood. originally, veilside only offered this hood in fiberglass. last week, however, they started offereing it in carbon fiber. i sold 2 immedietly, which sold the last of their container. no more until next container at the end of january. obviously the hood is much more expensive than seibon. seibon is a great company, with a great reputation. we would not sell it if the end user (our customer) had issues with it. intense, and our customers do not need that nightmare. hope this helps.
HOLY CRAP!!! that is a GREAT price, if only I hadn't bought mine months ago..... $30 I could have used else where...

ok, here's a link to my car.

hood painted. we had our body shop keep the vents carbon fiber exposed. in other words, we didnt shoot paint over the vents. rather, we hard edged the sides of the vent and made the silver flow into the top of the vent, soft edged. then we shot clear over it so there is no texture difference. it came out sooooper sweet, as you can tell. anyways, this is just a tiny example of what our body shop does. hope this helps!

Man 1ntenze thats a nice looking Z that you have there. As far as the VT style hoods goes how is the fit and are there any known problems that you have herd about? I will be taking one of these hoods off your hands some time with in the 2005. Just not sure when with my big deployment (USAF) coming up some time in the future. It will be after I return back though.

Nother question for you. What would be the probability of you carrying the vizage body kit for the Z. Because if you could do that I would also take one of those also.

Plus, before the end of Feb. I'd like to get the JWT POP-Charger w/ Heat Shield.

Let me know about the body kit and hood if you don't mind.

Thanks,
www.rollincarcustoms.com is the place to get the Vizage..... they are the US dealer for them... good prices too.

Thanks,

thanks man! the car actually doens't look anything like this anymore, except for the hood. we sold the body kit, and wheels. going with the do-luck kit w/ some work vs-xx's.

anyways, the new Seibon container came in, and the new batch of VT style hoods have no fittment issues whatsoever. good to go!

Visaze? we used to have them on our website, but taken off recently. there was too much difficulty obtaining them.

JWT pop-chargers? always good in stock!

let us know! also, good luck and stay safe wherever your deployment takes you.
Sounds good about the pop charger and all I just wish you carried that body kit. When you get that Do-Luck kit on post some pictures so we can all check it out. That's a nice kit also.

About the hood did you also say that you can have them painted for two hundred or was that someone else.

yes, pics for sure. we don't want to post pics until completed, obviously. can't wait actually. my veilside ti exhaust is sold, and the hks stainless/ti just arrived this morning.

yes, we do paint hoods, body parts, etc. painting the hood is only $200.00!
we're in gilbert, which is in the southeast suburbs of phoenix. come see us. we're here monday-friday 10-7, although we're really here from 830-1am usually. we have 15 project cars that we're building right now, so it's almost a 24 hour/day operation. if you're only able to come down on the weekends, let me know. we're usually here on saturday at least. have a good weekend.
Trust me I would love to find a good tuner shop/wherehouse that is close to where I live. Good old Map Quest says that you are about 108.65 miles away if this is true that would be awesome. I know that we have a few if not hundreds of mechanics in this forum but trust me I will run out to a USAF aircraft and work the radio's and navigation on it with no problem but when it comes down to my baby (my 350Z man I love this car) umm **** NO I'd rather have a tech that is trained and knows what he is doing.

You work for this company but do they also have an install bay on the side that does the work because if that's the case I will be up there so much that you will know me by face instead of by the vehicle that I drive. Just let me know any I'll be up there pretty soon to have the pop charger installed on the weekend.

Oh one the other hand let me share another story with you to get your opinion on it. Okay you drive a Z. Well you take it up to the dealer to have an after market part installed do you get pissed when they take your Z and just stick the keys in the door lock so that the wind can control just how many scratch’s you get in your paint. That is what almost happened to me when I went to the dealer. Oh I was pissed, but I think that shops should treat your car like as if it was there’s.

Well let me know if you also have a shop on the side of the business and we will set up a time for the install of the pop charger.

Hello,

yes, we have full installation facility here. we have 3 lifts, in-house fabrication, and a dynojet. this is where we built/tuned the world's highest horsepower supra.

that's crazy about the dealership. i try not to take my car there, unless it's warranty work. and then, they know us and everything is taken care of as we would take care of our customers.

let us know when you are planning to come down for anything. we'll make the time to fit you in. thanks again!
See know that is what I’m talking about. I love to see shops that have great customer service and basically treat every car like as if it were there own. Two examples that happened just this week.

GOOD: Took the 350Z and the wife’s RX-8 to the auto detailer to have them detailed and waxed. Well since I try and stick with one place that treats me right. They ended up giving both my wife and I a business card that on the back it says that every time that we go threw there we will get our cars detailed and a certain discounted price due to the fact that they like to have beautiful cars on there lot because it draws attention to there business.

BAD: We take the wife RX-8 to the dealer to have the rear tail light replaced because it was retaining water when it rained. First they start be slapping a magnetic number on top of her car. Then 9 hours later she called them to find out that they never even had the tail lights and they would have to order it. So she was left with out her new car all day for nothing. She was pissed, oh and so was I.

CONCLUTION: Sounds like you have an awesome job up there and with a few benefits. Can't wait to stop over and visit and check it out one of these weekends. Would it be possible to dyno the 350 and then have the pop charger installed and redyno'd. How much would we be looking at for accomplishing this?
