Don't think you can - it does that so you (and others) know it is on. Cut out a little round piece of electrical tape and cover it?

Mine blinks all the time.... I like it. That way if I don't have the doors locked people still think the alarm is set.

Months if not longer. My car will sit for a full 5 months over winter, and that light still blinks. Like the other members stated, it's a good reminder to you and others that the car is working like it should.

I think the battery life would be the last thing to worry about. IIRC, it's an LED. I would think it's on the same circuit or draw power from the same concept as your HU for keeping the correct time and such. :dunno:

Considering a single led can blink on a AA battery for at least 8 months. A new car battery could keep it going for a lot longer. I wouldn't worry about the battery ;)
