Here is my running list of who I've dealt with while outfitting my Z. These are all businesses and individuals that I have personally dealt with and not based on any of that "A friend knew this kid that talked to this guy who was dating this girl who..." crap.

GOOD VENDORS

Intense Motorsports
- Good customer service, notified me of potential delays. Part shipped on schedule and arrived as described.
Japtrix - Great customer service, very knowledgeable about their products, excellent follow through. Part shipped same day as ordered.
Z1 Auto - Prompt shipping, good price. No complaints.
Leatherseats.com - Great customer service. accurate lead times quoted.
Z Car Garage - A dedicated Z tuning shop located in San Jose California. Owned By Rob Fuller (great guy). Very knowledgeable, but can get a little busy at times. If you need work done in the bay area, this is THE place to go.

BAD VENDORS

Wheelsdirectonline.com
- OK customer service up until you place your order, then good luck ever getting a hold of them again. Dismal post sales support. Good prices but I cannot recommend them to anybody that I like. If you do go with them, say hi to Derek for me. Derek appears to be the only employee of this "company", so that's who you'll be talking to.

GOOD 350Z-Tech.com MEMBERS

Cbtech
- Met to swap headers and some BS. Great guy, friendly, and pays cash. All good qualities.
KShep - A true gentleman to do business with. If Shep is selling something, then you know you will get exactly what you paid for.
Westpak - Good guy. 'nuff said.
Silverbullet - Bought some stuff off him when he was parting out. Shipped when he said he would. Can't ask for more.
Blacryan - Fast payer, sure can't complain about that.

I know, I know....

Funny, but I don't remember half the people I've sold things to or bought from. No wonder my wife is mad at me; she claims I think money grows on trees. I told her it grows underground like radishes.

I bought my wheels from here and one had a gash on it out of the box. When I called them back I did talk to Derek and he took care of it for me and shipped a new one. Derek was great though. Didn't ask me any questions.

Glad to hear it. I am sure that many people have had smooth transactions with them... I did not. My story:

I shot emails to about 30 different wheel vendors requesting price quotes for several makes and models of rims. Only about 10 ever responded. And of the 10, wheelsdirectonline.com had the 3rd lowest price, but free shipping so I went with them. I placed the order, got an invoice, all lickety split. So at first I was happy. Then I noticed an error on the invoice, I sent emails, I left phone messages... nada. It took nearly 10 days for Derek to get back to me. Strike 1. So with that settled, I waited for my wheels. They showed up about a week later than stated. Strike 2. Upon inspecting them, I discovered that one of the center caps didn't match the rest. So I call. No answer, no returned call. After a few attempts I broke down and called Dazz Motorsports (Racing Hart's US distributor). They couldn't get in touch with them either. Strike 3. So Dazz is overnighting me the correct part. But they do have great prices.

I can't blame anybody for going with them, I just won't be using them again.

Good Luck,
Ronin Z

Yeah I wouldn't either after an experience like that. I probably will not buy future wheels from them now.

I have to agree with you on Z-1, have bought quite a few things from Adam there and he is very knownledgable and seems to care that you get the right part for your car. Goes out of the way to help out.

Adam is great. I bought my HKS coilovers from him. Since I already knew what I wanted he could have just taken my money and hung up like anybody else. Nope, not Adam. We chatted on the phone a bit, he asked some really good questions, offered up some suggestions and in the end we both agreed the HKS was the way for me to go.

Yep, a guy like that who seems to care that you get the right part for your needs is hard to find. I have bought quite a bit of stuff from him for the Z and 240 and keep going back.

Well you are a gentleman and a scholar, I am honored to be on your list :)
Gus, you earned your spot on the list.

For those that don't know I ordered my APS exhaust from Japtrix (Gus AKA westpak). So after he ships it, and it's on it's way, he PM's me to give some intallations tips. I mean come on, you don't get that sort of post sales support from just anywhere.

Regards,
Ronin Z

this needs to be pinned
Would be cool if you could somehow create a 'sub-fourm' under the 'Good-Guy/Bad-Guy' sub-fourm. Each of these could have a poll .. that way you would have a running 'score' visible at the higher-level sub-fourm with comments under each specific vendor sub-forum

Sluggo gets a spot on the Good Guy's list.

I bought an S2000 Shorty Antenna from him, and it arrived new in the plastic as described.

Hey DogZ...thanks for the compliment!
