i was looking to put rear seats in my 350z... i was wondering if anyone has tried this using g35 coupe rear seats...

There's simply no way to do it, that's why the G35 was designed. The gas tank is back there, there's no head room and the car just isn't meant for it...it would be a waste of a car to rip it apart like that.

cant figure how you could do this without cutting out internal parts such as the rear gloves and area in front of the rear strut - interesting tought but might take a liltte engineering.

bigger question is why - the Z was made to be a 2 seat auto for the enthusiast?

Honestly if you so much as look at the the interior of the car you'll realize its not possible.

I think I'd have better luck convincing Jessica Alba and Charlize Theron that they need to double up on me, than trying to squeeze a backseat into a Z.

I have an idea, take your Z to the Infinity dealership, hand the keys over and take posession of a G35...guess what, it comes modded with backseats!!

If you need to throw an extra person in the car, lay them down under the hatch.

LOL back in the day my dad would put me and one of my brothers (there is 3 of us) back in the hatch of his 300zx. lots of fun... this was where my love was born :wub:

I threw one of my friend's in a hatch once. It worked decent for like 20 miles, wasn't far, but he did squish my carpet lol.

And WTF would you want back seats . . . . . . . . . .

Is it school holidays in the US or something?

I'm on an Australian Skyline forum, and every school holidays you get people whose only exposure to pubic hair is from pornography asking stupid questions like how to make the stock turbos handle 28psi or if a GT-R is better than a Civic.

This guy hasn't even seen the interior of a 350Z if he thinks you can retrofit anything back there.


My suggestion is to unbolt the hatch, and sit on the strut brace.

Actually that would be easier. Remove the hatch, cut out the strut bar and maybe fabircate some sort of window divider behind the seats and bam you got yourself a tiny nearly useless pickup.
