ChrisDogzilla, that's a nice LE you got there.
Here in CA it is impossible to keep those late (last) models on the road legally because of the conflict between passing smog and the car actually being drivable. Most of them keep the smog pump in a box just to bring it out every two years for the trip to the station. Meanwhile the cat is glowing orange.
They do have one of the smoothest MG motors of all time though.
As soon as I had the plugs and wires replaced, the valves adjusted, and carburetor tuned....I garaged it.
But before that, I had the insides of the catalytic converter taken out. It's placed under the carb, and was heating it so much the fuel was vaporizing in the carb.
So now it doesn't cook the fuel, and purrs like a kitten.
Plus, there are no smog tests here. :biggrin:
Your Sprite reminds me of an Alfa I had in 1987. Fun **** car, that I wish I had kept. Oh well, I guess I'll have to keep the MG until I get an offer I can't refuse.
