ok, Thanks guys, will give Camberwell and Northside Nissan a call tomorrow.

_ink, I saw that ad on ebay but its for LHD and won't fit any RHD cars, unless someone has made it work in which case I'd love to hear from them as that is really cheap.

Wonder why no one in Oz sell these parts!

So....new handle or new door card? Don't mind the gooey looking stuff in the second pic, just a failed attempted a gluing it all back together.

While on topic, does anyone know if you can retrofit MY06+ door cards onto MY03-05 cars?

Kam, looks like you just need a new handle. The handle is separate from the door panel (card) so you can replace it separately. And yes, you can upgrade to the later door panels. The finish may not match though from what I understand.

New handle indeed Kam. Inside those two holes are a couple of 10mm bolts. (1 each)
Undo them and you should be able to pull out what is left of the handles. New ones should pop straight back in.

The nut that holds onto the bottom part poped off the back of the door card thingy on mine, so I had to strip it all out and re attach the nut. Just something to watch out for.

Ok guys, thanks to Steve's recommendation, Alex from 350z-UK managed to find me brand new door grip and silver finisher for the prices:

L/H grab handle £27.58
L/H grab handle finisher £41.34

(postage not included but guessing it'll be around $20)

This is still less than half price of what Nissan quoted.

Here's the link to Alex's sub-forum:

Kam80 - araldite and then fibre-glass filler will make it stronger than new. Just don't use too much otherwise the finisher will not fit properly and you have to sand it down.

You can see in the below links where I applied the araldite and filler and how the excess filler is causing the finisher to not fit properly at the top.

I think I threw my handle out already...plus I don't think I'd be too flash with fibre-glassing, I'd say I'm more a "drill holes and bolt-it-in kinda guy". Do you want to get two sets of handles from the UK and split the shipping costs?

I'm cool with that. I've asked Alex to get me a quote for the parts delivered to Melbourne. Will let you know when he replies:).

Pics Kam. Let's see the after :)
Haha Steve because no one has seen a 350Z door before! :)

We were looking at the plastic of the door handle and wondering who at Nissan decided 3mm thick plastic in some parts were ever going to support the weight of a person actually using the handle as prescribed...

Woo-Hoo finally got this all fixed up, thanks theforce for organizing the part ex. UK!
All good mate, glad your happy:). I will be strengthening both bases of the handle using Q-Bond and then some araldite. Hopefully it won't break so easily again.

Also, thinking of integrating the porsche spyder style door handle (ribbon) into the 350z door trim. Any suggestions!!!
