Hey everyone, I posted up on a diff forum but was told I would get more responses here. My name is Steve (21) and I'm planning on visiting Sydney this Friday with my little brother (20).

Honestly, I've been so busy at work with deadlines that I haven't a clue what I should be expecting from my trip, what sorts of things I should be doing or where I need to stay lol. I've heard from some that I should just stay at hostels on the beach as they are very affordable and very fun. Would you agree?

Also what are some of the key things you think I should be doing/seeing? And are there any popular terms and phrases that might trip me up when I'm over there?

Or will I have to worry about electrical outlets not working with my laptop, phone, etc?

I'm sure I'll think of more questions but that's what I have off the top of my head after not sleeping for 2 days...I think I'm going to take a nap in my office right now (724 AM...been here since 4am) lol

Thanks everyone for your advice!!!

Also, here is a picture of my car while I'm introducing myself on this forum :)

Make sure your electrial stuff works with 240V/50Hz, you might also need power adaptors since they are different in usa. Make sure your phone works with GSM.

As for what to do and see, there's lots of stuff and it all depends on what you want to do.

Might be a good start:
