G'Day

Am interested in fitting the factory satnav to my 350Z here in Australia. Can anyone tell me where I might be able get the parts from in the UK? It wasn't an option for 350z's here but other Nissans
did get them so I think the map DVD won't be a problem.

Cheers

Have you seen the thread on here where a guy put the OEM nav in his Nismo? It is very labor intensive and expensive.

I bought a '03 touring back in '05 and have not upgraded the system (which I wouldnt want to) and have not upgraded the software (which I would do) but because it's $200 everytime you upgrade I have not. The GPS is a nice novelty but my iphone is much more efficient and user-friendly.

If I had it all over again an aftermarket system that has everything that I'd want (ipod, HD radio, cd/dvd, hi-def display, better controls/touch screen, etc.) rather than a stock OEM.

@Croweater - Is there a reason why you want an OEM? An afterrmarket wouldnt fit your needs?

I guess it's the sheer bloody minded purist in me, plus the challenge of getting it done that makes me want to do it. That having been said - if an aftermarket one will fit in the console and look like it came from the factory then fine. I doubt any aftermarket ones have the separate control panel in front of the screen though.

If you look at a UK spec system and all that wiring (and expense) why not do the OEM Bluetooth kits as well?

Correct... unless you willing to rework one of the remotes and wire it up to the OEM buttons.

I'd do a Fahrenheit 7" screen (100% OEM look) and a Garmin GVN-53. It won't be a touch screen and you'll have to use a remote but it'll look better than OEM (IMO).
