What are everyones thoughts on the necessity to o-ring our VQ blocks for boosted applications?

I really don't think that it is necessary to do anything to the stock sleeves unless you are planning on running above 900 HP. The stock sleeves have already withstood 1300 HP on Smithtown's drag racing Z. Granted that it was only for a short duration, but still, it held up. I do not plan on doing anything to my sleeves and I am shooting for 800RWHP or around 900 crank HP.

I am not worried about the sleeve integrity.....just the headgasket seal under boost with our motors. It's no easy task to pull a head to replace a headgasket like on a Honda.

I never had much success with o-ringed blocks.... I kept blowing head gaskets on a bored and built N/A Integra (Honda B18C1).

Lucky for me the head gaskets were easy to change.

Can't comment on the Z, but I would probably stay way from it.
