Well, I had the plessure over the weekend of coming out to my car to find that someone had left me a nice present of a belted up front bumper. :furious:

So now my beautiful DB is battle scared and I want to repair it. As I know that DB is one of the harder colours to match, I am just wondering if anyone else in Melbourne has been unfortunate enough to have their DB repaired and if so where.

I am really just looking for somewhere reputable that will do a good job (hopefully I wont have to have the whole front bumper replaced).

Thanks guys,

Zdster

P.S. really liking the smilies (it is making me feel just a bit better). :)

I know what you mean.

Looking at the angle of impact and damage, it is not the sort of thing that I would imagine someone doing and not noticing. I guess the wheels that I had planned to purchase will now go on hold. :headshake:

If anyone in Melbourne knows of somewhere good for repairs, it would be awesome if you could let me know.

Zdster, I had the exact same thing happen few weeks back. Suspension guy I use recommended place called Complete Prestige Car Centre Mirror Finish Pty Ltd (330 Arden St Kensington ph. 9376 1313). Haven't been to get quote yet, but unless you've used someone in the past it's all a bit of a gamble.

No matter where you get it done you will notice a colour difference. This is because of the different primers used on the plastic compared to the metal. If you look at your paint closely now you will see the difference.

Besides that, whilst it's in being done you should consider filling in the bumper holes and Nissan "hamburger" logo indent.

Thanks guys for the support.

db350z: Thanks for the welcome. I have been around in the Z community for a while (check the 'old forum') and am just usually content reading the informative posts. Just thought that I would share my unfortunate experience in this case.

Yun in the case of the place that you took your car to were you happy with the quality of work? By the way, your car looks hot (and not just because it is a DB :))

BND: I know what you mean about a gamble, which is sort of the reason why I posted here. I just thought that with all the bad drivers on the road someone else must have had some misfortune. I will give the place you mentioned a call and take my car down there for a quote.

Perth 350z: That is what really annoyes me about this 'incident'. I always keep my cars in good condition (if you were to have seen my s15 you would understand) and unfortunately I am a bit of a perfectionist. Hopefully however it will come out alright. Good idea about getting the rest of it done at the same time - I will have to consider it. P.S. really like your car  .

Yes i'm very happy and Thanks :). They are Profesional and work everything on time. they try to do anything to match up the colour for you :)

Remember Never go to a Cheap place, because they just won't match your colour.

Cheers and Good luck :)
