Central to the Murano GT-C’s dynamic appeal is its muscular new turbo-charged engine. In the GT-C, the Murano’s all-aluminium 3498cc V6 engine is breathed on by a single Garrett turbo-charger. The hybrid turbo is a bespoke unit created for this application, and features a turbine from a Garrett T3 and a compressor from a Garrett T4.

Perhaps, but this was revealed alongside the GT-S 350Z. These were put together by Nissan UK. For show? maybe. Will they actually sell them? who knows.

As toykilla noted, the group at Nissan responsible for this is from Nissan UK, not Nissan Japan. As a result, these vehicles dont have any real impact on what Nissan (Japan) is doing/planning. Think of it the same way you would of dealers who modify and sell Zs.
