No way, is this typical of a 350Z? I could have sworn they ran 99-101 (trap speed shouldnt be that low even though he is a newb at the strip and pulled a not so hot 60', should it?)

Those numbers look a little slow. I ran a 14.1 @ 100 bone stock last year (and that is with 2nd gear wheel shake). You def. need to improve your 60' times and your overall times will fall significantly. Practice makes perfect.

stock touring with stock tires should run low 14s at 99-101

I run consistent 13.4s at 104 with intake, test pipes and ET Streets.. I have a touring Z

wow you must be a really good driver because Car and Driver magazine's pro drivers run 41.1 1/4 mile on the track with a track edition Z... not to say that ur not a good driver but my responce just complements you  ... thanks for the responce and suggestions on how to improve my 60' time besides practice...

wow your another really good driver... like i said before the pro's are running 14.1 with the track edition... i would imagine that is lighter... idk... what did you do when you ran your Z? did you power shift? double clutch? i did neither...
Your Z now runs 13.4's with just an intake, test pipes and ET streets... what made the biggest difference of those mod's... I was going to buy that JWT pop-charger and UR pulleys as my first couple of mods... with new tires as well in the near future... :newbie:

Thanks guys for all your responces... i would of responded earlier to them but I was having a hard time logging into the site but now everythings fine... :irock:

you r/t are very good though! especially to be a newbie :)
Thanks... This was my 2nd time at the track... my first time was with a 2.0 Jetta and ran 18 1/4 mile... but im a newbie when it comes to the Z and rear wheel drive...
let me tell you... its BIG difference between a 18 sec. car to a 14 sec. car... I luv my Z...

congrats, not too shabby for a track newb!
Thanks...
I want to know what people are doing with their Z's on the track and if its not a stock Z what are your times and mods...

what did you do when you ran your Z? did you power shift? double clutch? i did neither...

Thats good, because neither would help your 400m times. Powershifting is really just a sloppy waste of energy, as well as very hard on the drivetrain/engine. If you're rev's are right, you can do redline full throttle shift after shift with little jerkiness. It'll come with practice and good timing. Double clutching means going for example, from 1st to neutral, let out the clutch, bring the revs to where 2nd would be, engage the clutch and then put it in 2nd. Obviously not necessary for cars with synchros, and definately not good for getting speed quickly.

When I first got my Z, I ran a stock 03 Touring and got about 14.6 at around 95mph. The Touring is heavy because of all the goodies and luxuries it has. I've lightened it since then and have become a better driver, so I'm sure the times would improve if I tried again.

I have a 2003 with the same equipment and when I weighed it at a public scale it came in at 3360# (hardly anygas and spare out). I have a 5AT though. You should run in the low 14's after some practice.

THERE IS NOW WAY THIS GUY IS RUNNING 13.4 WITH THOSE MODS. I WENT TO THE TRACK WITH THREE OTHER 350'S THE FASTEST TIME WAS 14.1 FROM A BONE STOCK. I RAN 14.2 WITH INTAKE, EXHAUST, PULLEYS, & SHORT SHIFTER. THE GUY THAT RAN 14.1 HIS 2ND FASTEST TIME WAS 14.8 AND WE ALL RAN 4 TIMES EACH. JUST TO LET YOU GUYS KNOW ASWELL ONE OTHER Z HAD MORE MODS THAN ME TOO.
