Is there a different rear end with LSD that can be modified to fit a Z33 frame? Like something out of another Nissan or a different car?

Most/many folks seem to go with Quaife from what I see on the forums.

The 350Z uses a standard "shortnose" R200 rear end that was available in all kinds of Nissan cars (S14/S15 240SX, Infinti Q45, Z31 300ZX, Z32 NA 300Z, R32 Skyline...). The housing is the same on all of them, and they are completely interchangeable between vehicles. The diff units can also be swapped. The problem is that they use different ring and pinion sets, pinion bearings, crush tubes, and differing axle spline/flanges. So yeah, you could get a rearend from another car, but you could be looking at having to swap over a bunch of parts from your stock diff.

In short, it's going to be easier on you to install an aftermarket unit into your current setup.
