I am migrating over from a certain other forum. Tired of the forum being down for TWO+ DAYS STRAIGHT, and I really like the tech articles here!

Drive a 1.5 week old Daytona Blue 04 Enthus Coupe (God I love that car) with 1700 miles.

I am in the process of installing a nice sound system. Kenwood MP919 Head Unit, Hifonics Zeus 1000D (1000 Watts RMS) 6400 ([email protected] ohms RMS) amps, 0 guage power, Crystal CSC 60S front and rear, Elemental Designs eD 12.22 A in a fiberglass understrut box (current project, PITA), and Sirius.

BTW I love the car.

Also within a few days I have experienced seat clicks and gas filling problems, its in the shop as I type trying to get healed (I hope it all goes well, I dont like dealer service stations, but so far, Round Rock Nissan has done very well).

But I still love the car.

Anyhoo, I saw my first 05 Mustang on the road today. Not bad looking. Really gritty if you know what I mean. Very muscle car. Doesn't look like it could hang on the track, but I bet it hurts in a straight line and I imagine the chicks dig it.

I was in a rental truck (that almost got me killed earlier... wtf silverado ext cab turn radius is 5 times that of the Z) and of course I couldnt race him. Too bad, it looks like a good race.

Definitly an improvement over the trashy looking older Stang IMO. (No offense to Stang drivers )

I still Love and prefer the Z. No regrets yet, except the **** seat clicks and gas filling problems on a two week old 04. Hope the dealer can fix em!

Welcome Zboy!. Good to see you over here. I hope you are driving the **** out of that Z.

2 weeks. 1700 miles. Yessir. I am. Top speed so far 110. No good chance to go faster and my new radar detector just came in two days ago.

I love pissing off Mustaing GTs. I also gave a middle aged fella in a Z4 a reason to sweat.

Coming from a Honda Accord 4 Cyl I have a lot of learning to do with this car. A LOT more power. Twice as much to be exact. And the looks.

Why the other day I was off to class (Masters in Software Engineering) and my classroom is near a highschool (off campus evening course). Well some high school cuties walk by. Ya know, the kind who wouldnt talk to you when YOU were in high school? Well they were eying the Z up and down and finally one of em got the guts to say "I like your car" and they all kind of giggled.

Well me, the kewl guy I am, replied, in the lowest deepest voice I could muster "Thanks, I do too". And they smiled and walked off. I felt really dorky, but you know, I never got that kind of attention in any car from anyone. Its great, your face gets all flushed, and you start thinking of what you *should* have said hehe. Of course I had to call my wife so we could both laugh at me, and then I realized I am 10 years older than those girls!!!

Oh man. Getting old sucks.

Then I shift to second and it doesnt suck any more.

Hey Zboy, welcome home! Congrats on the DB!! The thrill just gets better and better.

Post some pics of that audio setup of yours when you're finished. Sounds impressive.

As far as the gas problem goes, it's a design flaw in the tank. Some gas pumps will work perfectly, and some won't. The ones that do will always work and the ones that don't will never work.

I found the trick to get the ones that don't work to work is to turn the nozzle upside down

:welcome: I think the gas problem has to do with how far you put the nozzel in. :hump:

Thats what she said hehe.

Nah I have tried every angle, upside down, way in, barely in, full throttle, slowly dripping... it doesnt like taking gas...

I dunno.... well have to see...

Good luck, I have that problem maybe once in 6 monts. Happened last fill up. The theory about nozzle type is wrong. I go to the same gas station and same pump almost every time, and thats where I get the once in a blue moon problem. :shiftdrive:

Oh... I just realized

Every time I see the email saying "new member" I think someone has grown a new dong.

Bad choice in thread names hehe.

I have heard the gas problem goes away. And frankly I hope mine does that. I do NOT want ANYONE pulling my gas tank. I would almost rather live with the problem than have to worry about someone tearing up the car....
