hey guys..

i wanted to say im new here and my name is james. i just picked up a 2003 enthu. 350z with 18k miles on it. i just wanted a formal introduction.

well, my plan is to get a paint job no other 350z has. my car came in the darker silver..not sure what its called but i plan on painting it the 2004 Bmw CSL M3 gun metal. does anyone know of another 350z with this color? i hope not..we'll have to see!

Welcome! it sounds like you have the silverstone darkest silver available on the z (thats what i have). The color gun-metal should look good (and no gun-metal is not on any z at this time). One added benefit is that you'll be able to get some nice matching gun metal rims.

i wouldnt want gunmetal rims on a gunmetal car, i like to clash colors or have some sort on contrast. so if i do decide to paint it gunmetal, ill most likely either put black w/ polish lip or polish/brushed silver with a polish lip..

yes, i do love this color. the car that i still own now but will have to sell soon is a 1997 eclipse gsx and it was black but i repainted it to the 2004 lexus graphite grey (gunmetal) here are some pics..

yea..iv owned two eclipse's my first was a 1998 eclipse gst but sold it for the 97gsx because AWD was wat i was lookin for and had alot more power potential. i put alot of time and money into the gsx but it was time to sell it cause i wanted a higher end car and the 350z seemed perfect..

Welcome to the site James! Sounds like you have your plans straight... I've always wanted to paint my 350 a metallic version of laguna seca blue (also BMW) but just don't have the cash for it. Good luck with yours!
