Just thought I would post a couple pics of my XM install I did this week. I had to cut a hold in my nav compartment bottom so that the recepticle bottom would be below the nav comp with this unit.

I hardwired it into the back of my cigarette lighter. Also I am not using the FM modulator or the cassette adapter that it came with. I did it instead by going into my AUX output on my Alpine and used an AUX connector coupled with a stereo to RCA jack. Thanks to Josh for the info on that.

Heres are a couple pics of my install:

dave - how is the fit on the Alpine, looks like the upper portion is not flush.

Getting ready to do my install with 9835, but putting the xm receiver..to the AI mount so it will be hiddent and the 9835 will be used to control. plan on painting the kit to match the console and putting a cover plate over the pocket. Cover plate will house some rocker switches for some LED's that I have wired.

Nice install. I still have yet to install my Terk. If you don't mind can you tell what wires you used from the cig lighter for the connection?

I missed it, what happened to PowerXM?

I just cut off my cig adapter part of the power adapter from the XM and spliced the wires and ran some longer wires to the back of the cig adapter. This requires removing the center console and the rear plastic panel to access the back of the cig adapter in the rear of the car. Then you just splice straight into the power and ground of the cig adapter from the power and ground from the XM cig adapter that you just spliced off.
