My 350Z was totalled at the racetrack about 6 weeks ago. It took this long for my insurance co. to agree to treat it as a total loss.

I kept all the original parts, and am going to remove all the undamaged mods and sell them, and put the original engine, suspension, etc. parts back on the wreck before I give it back to my ins. co.

I am planning to do this as an auction on e-bay, although I haven't set up an account there yet. I think pretty much all the mods are salvageable except the Borla true dual exhaust, which was crushed. You can see my list of mods under my signature. The 350EVO 3.9 final drive ratio (ring & pinion) are still brand new in the box. The ECU flash cannot be removed from the car. It's gonna cost a lot of labor to remove the Nismo S-tune cams and limited slip differential, and replace the stock ones, so I may not do it.

I am not buying another 350Z. If I was, I would just keep the mods and put them on the new Z.

It will take at least a week to pull the parts off the car and get things organized. Stay tuned.

Well, 10 crashes later lol. Hopefully the future car has MUCH better luck than the Z.

About parts-- When do you need to have them out by? I'd be veryyyyyyyy interested in taking out those cams, and maybe even the clutch and flywheel. Let me know and I may have to take a trip down south.

This really sucks, man! You're practically a fixture here on 350z-tech. I'm sorry to hear about this. I won't ask how you got the insurance to cover the loss considering the activity at the time of the accident. :D

You didn't say you were selling the parts anywhere other than E-bay, but if you are, I would be interested in your Crawford Plenum and strut brace if you'd consider it.

Again, a sad day for the community. As someone else asked; any idea what's next for you? Something good and fast I hope!

Negotiating for an '05 EVO RS.

As the first post says, I'm selling the mods on ebay. To be honest, I am taking a big financial hit as a result of this mess. The insurance company is covering the loss, but about all I can expect is for them to pay off my lease; I don't expect any cash back. So basically it cost me a big down payment and monthly lease payments to drive it for 18 months. Add to that the cost of my mods, of which I will only recover a fraction (hopefully a big fraction).

One exception to the above. If you are in SoCal, have the mechancial skills to remove the mods and replace the stock parts, and have the time to do the work next week, I will give you a better deal

sosa - that means you.

Radiator and thermostat should be undamaged. Hit was in the rear. Only mod I know is damaged is the Borla TD exaust (crushed way beyond repair).

I also have a JWT 14-lb. aluminum flywheel which was in the car for about 5000 miles before I switched to the Tilton 8-lb. flywheel.
