I think the ECU reflash should be part of Stage III if you have so many air and exhaust mods on the Z. If you're upgrading the intake, plenum, headers, and exhaust, that might warrant a reflash to control the AF ratio.

It most definitely needs it in Stage IV.

Stage IV: (or maybe V ? ) AEBS Stroker kit.. 4.5 L will give you that extra edge if you want to stay N/A.

Do we want to address any other suspension mods...or stick with sways. Alignment issues get pretty complicated depending on the wheel set and drop.

I was thinking we should separate engine and suspension/handling mods

We should have 3 categories:
Engine
Forced Induction
Suspension/Handling

Not a bad idea, but I'm thinking that we may want to intermingle some compenents.

I don't think that it's logical to have folks focus on one part of modding, but it's up to you guys as far as whet we split and where. You may also want include Brakes in with the suspension.

maybe we could keep things separated on the tech info pages, but then have a suggested mod path that interlaces everything together? it could link to the other pages.

Good work Bill!

Depending on how descriptive we want to get with each mod, we can continue to add more info as this progresses. I think this is a good start.

I definitely like the idea of separating this into 3 categories and linking the other pages together.

Thanks!

I'm open to what ever the gang comes up with, but I think the idea of having three or more sections & linking them to one another is a very good idea. As far as descriptions go - I didn't want to go into too much detail as there are "conflictiong" views as far as what a mod does or doesn't do. If you have certain language that you feel should be added in a particular area let me know & I'll add it, or change things so that we all are happy with it.

Yeah, I think the best bet is not to get too descriptive, but to add a non biased, short explanation on what the component will do.

I think we should try to avoid quoting exact hp or tq claims from the manufacturer also. We all know how that goes :)

Each part should have a general overview of what it does, where it goes, price range, etc.. and then maybe we can have a link to other information (like the engine forum for engine parts) we could also have a pre-defined search button that would automatically search our forum on that particular part/topic.

wow.. before you go too far with that.. we might just be ok with a general price range.. so for grounding kits we might say price range: 50-200$

At least for the tech pages.. But the exact pricing on things would be perfect for our product reviews pages: http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/censura/

What do you think ?

General price range is good, but would it not make sense to list approximate prices in order to help people speed their search? If I only have a 100 bucks for a grounding kit it would be nice to eliminate those that are more expensive. Maybe I am just to anal. :dunno:

By all means continue :)

We need to be careful about listing other places to buy parts. Might upset some vendors. So we could give the price they can be found, but not list where it can be purchased.
